Prepare for a Surface hardware event in a few hours, when Microsoft will reveal the new Surface Duo 2. The event is scheduled on September 22, and according to FCC papers leaked last week, certain capabilities that were missing from the original Microsoft Android phone will be included in this one.
Support for 5G
The original Surface Duo, as you may remember, did not support 5G, but word has it that this one will. 5G connection was a common feature at the time of the Surface Duo’s introduction, but Microsoft chose not to add it, making it a difficult sell. However, the prices were subsequently reduced, so we are expecting to see the launch pricing.
